About the position

We are seeking a skilled Project Coordinator/Junior Project Manager to join our team at TalentConnect Solutions in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing project planning, implementation, and tracking to ensure timely and successful project delivery within the healthcare sector. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate effectively with the lead project manager from project initiation to closure, demonstrating strong project management capabilities and taking ownership of deliverables. The Project Coordinator will assist in scheduling, planning, and controlling the project delivery process, ensuring that resources, timelines, and the overall quality of the process are all considered and accounted for. The candidate will support risk identification and communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes, including requirements. Additionally, the role involves recommending process improvements and alternatives to current rollout tools and processes, leading collaborative efforts as assigned, and actively participating in the development, management, testing, and operations of project processes. A significant part of the role will be to support the main Project Manager in organizing, implementing, and completing the transition project for laptops. This includes working with the team to confirm that new devices are delivered and set up promptly, keeping comprehensive records of the project such as timelines, meeting notes, and progress reports. The Project Coordinator will monitor important points and outcomes of the project to ensure deadlines are met, offer technical help and problem-solving during the changeover period, and update the lead Project Manager and other stakeholders about the progress and any issues that arise. The candidate will also assist with training workshops and provide support to users with the new laptops as necessary, while carrying out additional related tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with lead project manager from initiation to closure, demonstrating project management capabilities and taking ownership of deliverables.
  • Assist in scheduling, planning and controlling the project delivery process.
  • Ensure that resources, timelines, and the overall quality of the process are all considered and accounted for.
  • Support risk identification.
  • Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements.
  • Recommend process improvements alternative to current rollout tools and processes.
  • Lead collaborative efforts as assigned.
  • Search and report dependencies throughout projects.
  • Actively participate in and influence the development, management, testing, and operations of project processes.
  • Support the main Project Manager in organizing, implementing, and completing the transition project for laptops.
  • Work with the team involved to confirm new devices are delivered and set up promptly.
  • Keep comprehensive records of the project, like timelines, notes from meetings, and progress reports.
  • Monitor important points and outcomes of the project to make sure deadlines are met.
  • Offer technical help and problem-solving during the changeover period.
  • Update the lead Project Manager and other important people about the progress and any problems with the project.
  • Help with training workshops and be there to help users with the new laptops if necessary.
  • Carry out additional tasks that are related as needed.

Requirements

  • Proficient in the use of Smartsheet and O365 products.
  • A Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, computer science, or a comparable field is required, or at least two years of relevant experience in project management or a similar area.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in release or project management roles is necessary, with a robust grasp of project management principles being preferable.
  • Demonstrated capability to prioritize tasks and adhere to deadlines within established timeframe constraints.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining actionable, realistic, and measurable action plans that outline tasks and outcomes tied to the project's goals and aims.
  • Ability to operate effectively in situations of uncertainty, rapidly absorb new information on one's own, and achieve results proactively.
  • General PC knowledge, including Microsoft Office with an intermediate level knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint design for executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must.

Benefits

  • Contract position with pay ranging from $35.00 to $40.00 per hour.
  • Expected hours of 40 per week with an 8-hour shift schedule.
