About the position

Waltonen Engineering is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Program Manager in managing logistics and life cycle support requirements for military systems and equipment. This role involves analyzing customer maintenance concepts, conducting tradeoff studies, and providing program information and recommendations to leadership. The Project Coordinator will also manage calendars, facilitate meetings, and prepare various program-related documents.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Manager in analyzing, defining, and documenting life cycle support requirements for systems and equipment based on customer maintenance concepts/philosophies.
  • Assist in conducting tradeoff studies and analyses such as life cycle cost, Level of Repair, and Maintenance-related to make recommendations and generate data to support the development of Logistic Support Subsystems for Military systems and equipment.
  • Provide program information, analysis, and recommendations to leadership for program action and decisions.
  • Help develop the battle rhythm of activities; manage calendars; coordinate and facilitate recurring staff meetings.
  • Prepare, review, staff, transmit, and electronically store on government-owned systems, agendas, briefings, papers, tasks, minutes, calendars, action items, and other program-related documents.
  • Prepare required presentation materials for on-site and off-site events.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager, mechanics, and designers as needed.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in coordinating and collaborating on the management of engineering or technical programs, preferably within the DoD or military acquisition programs.
  • Basic knowledge of planning, organizing, performing, supervising, tracking, and reporting on programs.
  • Experience interfacing and coordinating with higher-level staff is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ground combat vehicle systems is a plus.
  • Associate's degree or higher in Engineering, Business, Logistics, Quality, Production, or a related field.
