About the position

The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) is seeking a Project Coordinator or Project Manager to support its Energy Program, focusing on energy innovation, decarbonization, climate policy, and related issues. The role involves day-to-day project management, operational support, and coordination across various teams to ensure effective collaboration and communication. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities of the Energy team's projects.
  • Develop and manage project workflow and communications calendar.
  • Integrate projects with BPC/BPC Action functional areas, including development and operations.
  • Draft external communications, newsletters, and grant reports.
  • Conduct research related to energy and climate policy as needed.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings and arranging travel.
  • Prepare agendas, attend meetings, and circulate notes.
  • Plan and staff internal and external events in collaboration with the events team.
  • Support the development team in drafting grant proposals and managing donor relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree with at least 1 year of experience for Project Coordinator, or at least 3 years of relevant office experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience for Project Manager, or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with CRM software such as Salesforce is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience with grants and contracts management.
  • Event planning experience.
