About the position

We are actively looking for a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our growing team at a building material supplier that manufactures and distributes a wide variety of building products to both single- and multi-family homebuilders, developers, and contractors. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for actively managing multiple projects at a time while proofing submittals, generating change orders, overseeing order entries for your projects, and managing the accountability of field managers. This role requires close collaboration with various in-house departments, as well as customers and vendors, to ensure project success and compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. In this position, you will coordinate with field managers to ensure timely submission of verifications and data. You will be responsible for posting bid addendums, proposal requests, and utilizing your experience and knowledge as they relate to building products. Documenting all aspects of any given project is crucial, including contracts, change orders, sales orders, purchase orders, order acknowledgments, submittals, emails, and other forms of correspondence. You will manage several projects daily, working with production on lead-times and shipping details, and maintain direct communication with customers via phone, email, or job site visits. Determining and adequately meeting project schedules and deadlines will be a key part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Previous experience in related fields (carpentry, construction, building materials)
  • Associate's degree in related fields preferred
  • Knowledgeable in Construction processes and what Building Materials are required
  • Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
  • Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
