About the position

The Project Coordinator for Mission Critical at J.E. Dunn Construction Company plays a vital role in supporting the Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) by managing project documentation, facilitating communication among stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with project requirements. This position is integral to the successful execution of large-scale construction projects, particularly in the industrial and manufacturing sectors, including data centers and semiconductor projects.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes responsibility matrix (WorkSmart) to ensure alignment with ongoing business process improvement efforts, supporting full project lifecycle.
  • Collects, processes, inputs, organizes and files data and documentation from various sources and stakeholders as requested by project management team.
  • Processes information within specific timeframes to maintain efficiency and timeliness.
  • Provides timely and effective communication to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supports project management during the bidding process, including creating bid invitations and preparing specifications documents.
  • Issues and/or prepares bond memos and sets up, issues, and fully executes subcontracts during the award process.
  • Organizes information into standard formats and reports in various systems and locations such as the project dashboard and CMiC.
  • Coordinates submission of project documentation per project requirements and prepares routine correspondence.
  • Creates and distributes potential change items (PCIs) and requests for information (RFIs).
  • Tracks, monitors and collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure necessary documentation meets compliance requirements before releasing payments to subcontractors.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as CMiC and electronic signature tools.
  • Understanding of construction processes and documentation requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the construction industry, particularly in mission critical or industrial projects.
  • Familiarity with compliance documentation and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
