The Project Coordinator for the Office of Chief Operating Officer (COO) plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the agency's priorities are effectively operationalized. This position is situated within the Administration Office, which oversees all operational functions of the units reporting to the COO, including the Bureau of Audit Services and the Office of Strategic Operations and Performance Management. The Project Coordinator will report directly to the Executive Director of Administration and will be responsible for leading initiatives focused on racial equity and social justice. This includes coordinating and managing the Personnel Action Requests (PARs) approval process for the COO's office and collaborating with other equity leads to advance workforce equity initiatives across the agency. In this role, the Project Coordinator will serve as a subject matter expert on racial equity and social justice, developing and strategizing annual equity goals for the COO Office. They will support the leadership in advancing workforce equity, particularly focusing on pay equity through data analysis. The position requires the development of monthly data reports and metrics on submissions to the Office of Management & Budget (OMB), conducting quality assurance on PARs data, and providing technical assistance to agency users of the automated OMB Hiring Application. The Project Coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of PARs with OMB guidelines and policies, supervising staff involved in OMB PAR research, and maintaining the COO admin SharePoint site. The role is integral to the agency's mission of improving health and reducing disparities through effective management of resources and community engagement. The Project Coordinator will contribute to the agency's efforts in safeguarding the health of every resident and cultivating a city where everyone can achieve optimal health.
