About the position

The Project Coordinator for Operations at Northwestern University will provide operational support services within the Alumni Relations and Development department. This role is designed for a highly organized individual to manage incoming requests, track tasks, and assist with email communications and event registration for alumni club volunteers. The position requires collaboration with various teams, data analysis, and the creation of training materials, all aimed at enhancing the department's engagement and fundraising capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend changes and improvements to operational services strategies to better meet client needs and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal department partners and respond to inquiries from Northwestern Alumni Association staff and alumni volunteers regarding project status.
  • Review operational services and interact with clients to gain insights and optimize client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate the collection, analysis, and reporting of required information for surveys and review documents.
  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance and consistency of business processes related to operational services.
  • Implement data integrity initiatives and participate in quality assurance of processes and software.
  • Compile and analyze data, prepare reports, and share results with clients.
  • Identify service improvement opportunities to achieve operational goals and objectives.
  • Create and maintain documentation, procedures, standards, and policies related to operational services.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of operations, administration, development, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Customer service focus, curiosity, and analytical thinking.
  • Global/organizational perspective and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
