The Project Coordinator for the Patient Access Center at UNC Health Care is a pivotal role responsible for directing, organizing, and controlling project activities under the guidance of a Project Manager or Director. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a collaborative environment and are adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously. The Project Coordinator will spend more than 50% of their time managing projects, ensuring that all activities align with the organization's goals and objectives. The role requires a proactive approach to gather and evaluate business requirements, facilitating effective communication among project team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks. In this role, the Project Coordinator will assist the Project Manager in developing comprehensive workflow processes for various projects. This includes reviewing project proposals and deliverables with the Project Management team and other relevant departments to determine appropriate lead times. The Project Coordinator will maintain ongoing communication with project members, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring proper documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, the Project Coordinator may provide administrative support to the department by collaborating with Human Resources on recruitment, organizational structure changes, and personnel adjustments. The role may also involve supervising subordinate clerical staff, monitoring and modifying project schedules, and maintaining document control and database management. The Project Coordinator will assist in strategic meetings, prepare and edit presentations, coordinate meetings, and manage travel arrangements and expense reports for the Project Manager. This position is essential for developing and publishing communications to project stakeholders and reviewing project status reports to keep all parties informed.
