About the position

DH Pace Company, Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator for our Commercial Installs team, located on-site at our regional office in Coppell, TX. This role is crucial in ensuring that project objectives are met within specified dates and budgets. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for effectively planning, directing, and coordinating activities related to various projects. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment. The Project Coordinator will review project plans and specifications to determine the materials needed, order materials, and operate within customer-specified budget parameters. They will also work with outside vendors to coordinate schedules and installations. Directing and coordinating activities to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget is a key responsibility. The Project Coordinator will review status reports prepared by staff and clients, providing updates as necessary. In addition to project management, the role requires the ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. Effective communication of technical findings to clients is essential. The Project Coordinator must master project coordination and problem-solving skills, using good judgment and forecasting to navigate challenges. Administrative procedures and processes for managing projects on time and under budget must be followed. The Project Coordinator will monitor and review all projects to ensure quality standards and customer expectations are met, track job materials, and determine innovative solutions to any problems that arise during job execution. Maintaining job files and ensuring projects are completed and billed accurately is also part of the role. Collaboration with strategic partners and internal service teams to establish and adhere to service level agreements is expected. A positive attitude toward customers and fellow employees is essential, regardless of circumstances, and other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Review project plans and specifications to determine materials needed and order materials.
  • Operate within customer specified budget parameters and work with outside vendors to coordinate schedules and installs.
  • Direct and coordinate activities to ensure projects are progressing on schedule and within the budgeted scope.
  • Review status reports prepared by staff and clients and provide updates as needed.

  • Follow administrative procedures and processes for the management of projects on time and under budget.
  • Monitor and review all projects to ensure quality standards and customer expectations are met.
  • Track job materials and monitor submittals.
  • Determine innovative solutions to problems concerning execution of jobs.
  • Help maintain job files by gathering information to ensure projects are completed and billed accurately.
  • Work with strategic partners and internal service teams in establishing and adhering to service level agreements.
  • Maintain and promote a positive attitude toward customers and fellow employees.

Requirements

  • High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Mechanically minded or inclined.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as a team player.
  • Construction Management Degree or two (2) years experience as a Project Coordinator or Assistant Project Manager/Engineer for a construction/service company, sub-contractor, or property management firm preferred.
  • Strong mathematical ability; must verify bids for accuracy.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, customer relations, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
