About the position

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our team, focusing on the Gateway Program, which is recognized as the most urgent infrastructure initiative in the country. This program encompasses a comprehensive set of rail investments aimed at enhancing commuter and intercity services, increasing resiliency, and ultimately creating new capacity between Newark, NJ, and New York City. The first phase of this program includes the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP), which involves constructing a new two-track tunnel under the Hudson River that connects to Penn Station New York, alongside the full rehabilitation of the existing North River Tunnel, which has been in operation for over 110 years. The Gateway Development Commission (GDC) is responsible for financing and developing the Hudson Tunnel Project, and Parsons is a tri-venture partner with Arcadis and Mace, providing essential advisory and support services for the project’s development and implementation. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the PDA Tracking Program, as well as establishing and upholding procedures and policies related to PDA requirements, excluding federally mandated plans. You will lead and manage the development of SPCC Monthly Meetings, which includes scheduling, agenda development, presentation creation, and distribution of meeting minutes. Additionally, you will coordinate TSC Monthly Meetings in collaboration with the CTO Office, ensuring all meeting materials are prepared and distributed effectively. Maintaining the SPCC and TSC Team Sites and Rosters will also be a key responsibility, ensuring that all project personnel are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle. This position is integral to the success of the Gateway Program, and you will have the opportunity to work alongside a diverse team of professionals dedicated to improving infrastructure and enhancing community quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the PDA Tracking Program.
  • Establish and uphold procedures and policies related to PDA requirements (excluding Federally-Required Plans).
  • Lead/manage the development of SPCC Monthly Meetings, including scheduling, agenda development, presentation creation, and distribution of meeting minutes.
  • Lead/manage the development of TSC Monthly Meetings in coordination with the CTO Office, including scheduling, agenda development, presentation creation, and distribution of meeting materials.
  • Maintain the SPCC and TSC Team Sites and Rosters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of related experience working on major infrastructure projects.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access Database.
  • Working knowledge of electronic document management systems.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with project personnel and management.
