About the position

Parsons is seeking a talented Project Coordinator to join our team, focusing on the Gateway Program, which is recognized as the most urgent infrastructure initiative in the country. This program encompasses a comprehensive set of rail investments aimed at enhancing commuter and intercity services, improving resiliency, and ultimately creating new capacity between Newark, NJ, and New York City. The first phase of this program includes the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP), which involves constructing a new two-track tunnel under the Hudson River that connects to Penn Station New York, alongside the full rehabilitation of the existing North River Tunnel, which has been in operation for over 110 years. As a tri-venture partner with Arcadis and Mace, Parsons plays a crucial role in providing strategic advisory services, project management, design management, construction management, stakeholder coordination, federal compliance, and operations support for the Gateway Development Commission (GDC). This position offers the opportunity to work on a master service contract that spans 15 years, providing a broad range of services to support the development and implementation of the Hudson Tunnel Project. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the PDA Tracking Program, as well as developing and managing monthly meetings for both the SPCC and TSC teams. This includes scheduling meetings, developing agendas, creating presentations, and distributing meeting materials. You will also maintain the SPCC and TSC Team Sites and Rosters, ensuring that all documentation and communication are organized and accessible. This position is integral to the success of the project and offers a chance to contribute to a significant infrastructure initiative that will have lasting impacts on the region.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the PDA Tracking Program.
  • Implement and maintain procedures and policies related to PDA requirements (excluding Federally-Required Plans).
  • Lead/manage the development of SPCC Monthly Meetings, including scheduling/noticing of meetings, agenda development, presentation development, and distribution of meeting minutes.
  • Lead/manage the development of TSC Monthly Meetings in coordination with the CTO Office, including scheduling/noticing of meetings, agenda development, presentation development, and distribution of meeting materials.
  • Maintain the SPCC and TSC Team Sites and Rosters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of related experience working on major infrastructure projects.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access Database.
  • Working knowledge of electronic document management systems.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with project personnel and management.
