GovCIO is seeking a versatile Project Coordinator to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO). This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment. The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting a variety of initiatives across a vast and dynamic IT organization. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who can quickly understand new assignments, conduct research, provide relevant content, and offer solutions. The role requires strong client interaction skills to ensure coordination and desired outcomes are accomplished, as the client needs are often evolving. Flexibility and forward-thinking views are essential for success in this position. The Project Coordinator will liaise across a diverse, multi-disciplined IT organization that serves millions of end-users and Veterans. Responsibilities include assisting external teams by providing clear, concise communication and instructions to prepare their presentations, creating graphics, transitions, and animations in PowerPoint to support verbal presentations, and enhancing messaging. The candidate will also support Technical Tuesday events as a production crew member and assist with event support tasks. A problem solver by nature, the Project Coordinator will conduct research to address a wide range of topics and successfully accomplish the work. Professional communication of ideas and updates to senior executives is a key aspect of the role, as is assessing issues and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. The candidate will gather information through research, statistical reports, and interviews, organizing the data into meaningful content for a variety of audiences and stakeholders, while also addressing backlog items on various topics.
