About the position

The Project Coordinator at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing clinical research projects. This role involves contributing to various clinical research initiatives related to therapeutics, medical devices, and physical therapy modalities. The Project Coordinator will also assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for clinical research, ensuring alignment with the institute's mission and core values.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and determines priorities and monitors status of special projects and events on an ongoing basis.
  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of projects with moderate to complex scope.
  • Prepares recurring and special reports and statistical analyses for management.
  • Assists in tracking and reporting of hours and expenses, and may assist with managing project budget.
  • Ensures project documents are complete and current.
  • Performs all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of SRALAB.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a biological, physical science, or related field.
  • Prior experience as a clinical research coordinator is highly desired but not absolutely required.
  • Knowledge of current Good Clinical Practice (cGCP) and its application in clinical research.
  • Demonstrated experience with project planning in a complex, regulated environment.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact on a daily basis with internal/external customers.
  • Advanced organizational skills necessary to efficiently prioritize and complete a variety of tasks and provide leadership when required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting to maximize quality and efficiency of operations.
  • Ability to understand clinical study protocols and assist study investigators with various tasks when necessary.
  • Skill using a personal computer and word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications.
