About the position

The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and implementing clinical research projects at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. This position involves contributing to multiple clinical research projects that focus on therapeutics, medical devices, and physical therapy modalities. The Project Coordinator will also assist in developing and implementing new policies and procedures for clinical research, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and core values.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and determine priorities for special projects and events, monitoring their status on an ongoing basis.
  • Create and execute project work plans, revising them as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects with moderate to complex scope.
  • Prepare recurring and special reports and statistical analyses for management.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting hours and expenses, and may assist with managing project budget.
  • Ensure project documents are complete and current.
  • Perform all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of SRALAB.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a biological, physical science, or related field.
  • Prior experience as a clinical research coordinator is highly desired but not absolutely required.
  • Knowledge of current Good Clinical Practice (cGCP) and its application in clinical research.
  • Demonstrated experience with project planning in a complex, regulated environment.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact on a daily basis with internal/external customers.
  • Advanced organizational skills necessary to efficiently prioritize and complete a variety of tasks and provide leadership when required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting to maximize quality and efficiency of operations.
  • Ability to understand clinical study protocols and assist study investigators with various tasks when necessary.
  • Skill using a personal computer and word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications.
