About the position

The Project Coordinator - Residential Construction role is essential for managing the permit process for residential solar and battery storage installations. This position ensures compliance with local regulations, facilitating homeowners' access to clean energy solutions. The role offers a flexible work environment, combining both in-office and remote work options, and is part of a company focused on sustainable energy solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit documentation for residential solar and battery storage permit packages.
  • Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and project coordinators to ensure all necessary information is collected and compliant with local regulations.
  • Complete necessary forms and secure all required jurisdictional and organizational approvals to meet project timelines.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to permit submissions to keep projects on schedule.
  • Track and manage the timelines of permit applications, ensuring timely progression of all projects.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of permit applications and correspondence.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in permit processing or related fields.
  • Prior experience working with permitting offices.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of project management software and Salesforce.com is a plus.
  • Familiarity with home construction or residential electrical systems.
