About the position

The Project Coordinator at Servpro of Southeast Portland is a proactive and detail-oriented professional responsible for overseeing restoration and construction projects. This role emphasizes project management, client communication, team coordination, and quality control, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. The coordinator will work closely with clients and field teams, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction while adhering to timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate restoration and construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress and addressing any delays or issues that arise.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Collaborate with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project specifications are met and quality standards are upheld.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review project status and delegate tasks as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Identify and address any issues related to workmanship or materials promptly.
  • Assist in preparing project budgets and monitor expenses to ensure projects remain within financial parameters.
  • Track and manage change orders and additional costs, communicating them effectively to clients.
  • Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise during the project execution.
  • Support training initiatives for team members to enhance skills and knowledge related to restoration and construction practices.
  • Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in project coordination or management, preferably within the construction or restoration industry.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools for project management.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
  • Clean driving record for the last 3 years.
  • Understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and restoration practices.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial management principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, team members, and vendors.
  • A customer-focused attitude, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • IICRC certification in water damage restoration or related fields is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform site visits and inspections, which may require lifting and navigating construction sites.
