About the position

The Project Coordinator at the Sonoco Institute of Packaging Design and Graphics at Clemson University is responsible for managing the daily operations and coordination of projects within the Advanced Print Technologies Lab. Responsibilities

  • Manages and coordinates all industry and student activities related to print research and testing for the Advanced Print Technologies Lab.
  • Provides logistical planning for all activities including consumables, test files, and equipment time.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and scheduling of graduate and undergraduate student workers in the Advanced Print Technologies Lab.
  • Develop curriculum and present material at industry seminars and workshops on topics of package printing.
  • Mentors and provides assistance for faculty and student classes, projects, and research.
  • Assists with maintaining industry presence through publications, trade shows, and conference attendance/presentations.

Requirements

  • Experience in project management, particularly in an academic or research setting.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and student workers effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting material and mentoring students and faculty.
  • Knowledge of package printing and related technologies.
