About the position

ECS is seeking a Project Coordinator Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) in Orlando, FL. The role involves providing strategic advice, technical guidance, and management support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the development and implementation of simulation and training solutions to enhance warfighter readiness. The SME will coordinate project activities, prepare acquisition documentation, and represent the project office in various meetings and reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and develop requirements from project inception to conclusion for complex programs.
  • Provide strategic advice and technical guidance to program and project staff.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and provide recommendations for improvements and optimization.
  • Consult with clients to define needs or problems and supervise studies to collect and analyze data.
  • Prepare and review acquisition documentation and support development assessments.
  • Coordinate actions across the project team and manage program activities for the Government Assistant Program Manager.
  • Support the drafting of Performance Work Statements (PWS), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP).
  • Track all programmatic Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and work closely with ACC Orlando.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance
  • 5+ years of experience in project coordination and management
  • Broad technical background in management concepts and analytical analysis
  • In-depth understanding of procedures and authorization processes
  • Strong management background with knowledge of project management principles
  • Familiarity with finance, accounting, budget, legal, and information management policies
  • Knowledge of program planning and budgeting cycles
  • Ability to execute projects within financial and time constraints
  • Ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Knowledge of acquisition, development, and life cycle support of training systems
  • Understanding of DOD Planning, Programming Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES)
  • Ability to forecast long-term funding requirements and analyze impacts on programs
