About the position

The Project Coordinator at Pepper Construction will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of the Milwaukee, WI office. This position is designed for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is capable of managing various tasks associated with general contracting construction projects from inception to completion. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that business operations are organized and efficient, providing essential office support, and facilitating communication among project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will take initiative, demonstrate flexibility, and be comfortable working with minimal supervision. In this role, the Project Coordinator will engage in a variety of responsibilities, including facilitating the subcontractor bid process and managing all project-related documentation. This includes everything from the initial bid process to project closeout, ensuring that all necessary documents are accurately administered and coordinated. The Project Coordinator will also be expected to utilize various software programs and templates tailored to specific project needs, such as CMiC, Plans & Specs, Bluebeam, ShareFile, and Outlook. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines. The Project Coordinator will need to communicate effectively with all project team members, including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, project managers, and field personnel, to ensure that project needs and requirements are clearly understood and met. This role is essential for maintaining a positive work environment and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the projects undertaken by Pepper Construction.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the subcontractor bid process through effective use of all technology tools.
  • Administer and coordinate all documents associated with a project from the initial bid process to project closeout.
  • Utilize software programs and templates to fit specific project needs, typically CMiC, Plans & Specs, Bluebeam, ShareFile, and Outlook programs.
  • Reprioritize workload when project shifts, ensuring schedule and assignments are clearly communicated to all necessary team members.
  • Confidently communicate with all project team members, including the Client, Architect, Engineer, Subcontractors, Project Managers, and Field Personnel to coordinate and communicate project needs and requirements.
  • Manage multiple requests in a timely fashion.

  • Familiarity with construction processes, procedures, and terminology.
  • Solid understanding and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other desktop software.
  • High School diploma/GED; College degree preferred.
  • Prior experience working in construction or a related field is preferred.
