About the position

The Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and successful development, planning, and execution of process improvement and capital expenditure projects at Mennel Milling Company. This role involves managing various projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining a high standard of food safety and quality. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and effective communication across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, development, execution, and management of various projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with food and personal safety rules and regulations, including GMP's, OSHA, and HACCP.
  • Maintain the department/facility in an audit-ready condition.
  • Read, write, and draw technical documents, project summaries, budgets, and technical drawings.
  • Participate in project management duties including technical report writing, project research, and proposal preparation.
  • Assemble and direct cross-functional project teams and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Manage and monitor multiple project budgets and schedules concurrently.
  • Collaborate with plant personnel and outside contractors to meet project goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in operations, engineering, maintenance, flour milling, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of progressive supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Technical proficiency with technology, equipment, and processes in the milling industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent technical writing, speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in project management within a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and standards.
