About the position

This is a unique opportunity for a talented Project Coordinator to join HGA's Public | Corporate and ACE group, working out of our Sacramento office on a variety of project types including office buildings, libraries, tenant improvements, public utilities, historic renovations, arts, higher education projects and more! You must be able to determine the right amount of effort needed to generate mid- to high-level renderings in an efficient and timely manner. This position will also have multiple opportunities for client interaction and will help our team maintain a commitment to design and quality for all types of projects. In this role, you will develop concepts as defined by the Project Manager or Project Architect; produce construction documents in Revit, including plans, sections, and details; assist with quality control for the design function and integrate and coordinate all disciplines into the building project; assist the Project Manager with schedules/budgets and provide communication as appropriate with team leaders and/or team members who are responsible for workflow/timelines, etc. in a professional manner; seek creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks and develop appropriate research and documents to support these solutions; and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts as defined by Project Manager or Project Architect.
  • Produce construction documents in Revit, including plans, sections, and details.
  • Assist with quality control for the design function and integrate and coordinate all disciplines into the building project.
  • Assist the Project Manager with schedules/budgets and provide communication as appropriate with team leaders and/or team members responsible for workflow/timelines.
  • Seek creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks and develop appropriate research and documents to support these solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience required.
  • Pursuing Architectural registration, supported and awarded by HGA.
  • Interest in working on medium to large-scale project types in a very collaborative environment.
  • Strong REVIT, 2D and 3D graphic skills; AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, InDesign, and other BIM technology essential.
  • Knowledge of permitting process.
