About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Coordinator to join our team at M&S Building Systems. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting project management activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and management of project schedules and production tracking
• Monitor project progress and report on status updates to stakeholders
• Review blueprints and project specifications to ensure compliance with contract requirements
• Support construction estimating processes by gathering necessary data and preparing accurate estimates
• Support procurement processes by ensuring all materials are stocked and purchased
• Facilitate the organization of construction site logistics, ensuring all materials and resources are available as needed
• Maintain and manage project documentation control
• Support Quality Control processes

Requirements

• Relevant education and/or 3+ years of experience in project coordination / project management
• Strong understanding of the light gauge steel construction industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Nice-to-haves

• Strong understanding of construction processes, including blueprint reading and construction estimating
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of project scheduling techniques to ensure timely completion of tasks
