As a Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating and coordinating the work of multiple project teams. In your role, you will be responsible for identifying and removing barriers that may hinder the successful completion of projects. This includes resolving issues with subcontractors and providing timely updates to Project Managers regarding project status. You will also maintain and update the company database, generate customized reports, and utilize advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP to analyze project data. Additionally, you will create and track contracts, purchase orders, and submittals, ensuring that all project documentation is complete and accurate. As the primary point of contact for external vendor representatives and functional consultants, you will handle all correspondence between the general contractor, owner, architect, and subcontractors. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships will be key to the success of the projects you oversee. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on approach to work and is looking for long-term projects that allow for personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and coordinate the work of multiple project teams.
  • Identify and work to remove barriers to successful project completion, particularly with subcontractors.
  • Provide timely project status updates to Project Managers and submit unresolved issues for Cabinet resolution.
  • Maintain and update the company database.
  • Generate customized reports and pivot tables, utilizing VLOOKUP functionality.
  • Create and track contracts, purchase orders, submittals, and complete project close-out manuals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with external vendor representatives and functional consultants on strategic and technical project matters.
  • Handle all correspondence between the general contractor, owner, architect, and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 5 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Project management skills with the ability to resolve complex problems and issues.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Construction background is preferred.
  • Purchasing experience is required.
  • Experience with Norad and Oracle is a huge plus.
  • Telecom experience is beneficial.
  • Skilled in organizing resources, establishing priorities, and working effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP.
  • Familiarity with project management software.
