About the position

The Project Coordinator at Veolia North America is responsible for overseeing all technical and operational activities related to assigned projects. This role involves planning, scheduling, and conducting engineering work while ensuring compliance with project specifications and company standards. The Project Coordinator serves as a liaison between various stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and coordination to achieve project KPIs, including safety, budget adherence, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all technical and operational activities on assigned projects.
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct assigned engineering work.
  • Monitor work of tradesmen and external contractors for compliance with project specifications.
  • Liaise with Operations management regarding equipment and utility availability.
  • Ensure labor and materials are available for project execution.
  • Communicate and coordinate between all project participants and key stakeholders.
  • Prepare project schedules and forecasts.
  • Accountable for the successful completion of all assigned engineering projects.
  • Maintain regular contact with assigned project clients to achieve project KPIs.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports and change orders.

Requirements

  • Project Management Diploma, Technical Certification or Engineering Degree, preferably in Mechanical discipline.
  • Minimum of three years of progressive experience in plant operations, maintenance, engineering, or project management role.
  • Working knowledge of applicable codes and plant systems such as electrical distribution, instrumentation, HVAC, and material handling systems.
  • Strong customer service attitude and commitment to quality results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Effective time management, decision-making, and planning skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP or CAPM designation
  • Experience with Google Office Suite and program-specific software.
