About the position

OneSource Building Technologies (OSBT) is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team in Houston, TX. This role is essential for providing integrated, value-added solutions and services to our large-scale national and international customers. As a Project Coordinator, you will be the single point of contact for our clients, ensuring accountability, consistent quality, and on-time delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in project coordination or relevant field experience within the Telecommunication or Networking/IT industry. In this position, you will be responsible for managing various project tasks, communicating effectively with colleagues, vendors, and clients, and ensuring that all project deadlines and scopes of work are met. You will need to possess advanced verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong negotiation abilities. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will be required to read, analyze, and understand contracts and statements of work. The Project Coordinator will also need to demonstrate excellent time management skills, the ability to multi-task, and the capability to adapt to shifting priorities and demands. You will be expected to work both independently and as part of a team, with a strong understanding of project life cycles and budgetary details. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and basic technical knowledge of the telecommunications industry will be beneficial in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project coordination and communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage project timelines, deadlines, and scopes of work to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Analyze and understand contracts, statements of work, and project requirements.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation and reports.
  • Coordinate with team members and vendors to facilitate project tasks and activities.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial details to ensure adherence to financial constraints.
  • Adapt to changing project priorities and demands in a dynamic work environment.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and proprietary ticketing systems for project management.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • 1 - 2 years of related Project Coordination or Customer Service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic technical knowledge of information technology and telecommunications industries, including cabling infrastructure and network equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous field or project coordination experience in the telecommunications or IT industry.
  • Familiarity with proprietary ticketing systems and database software.
