About the position

Does the idea of working on projects that shape skylines across the nation excite you? If so, Power Design is looking for a kick-ass Project Coordinator to join our growing team! This position works directly with the Project Manager to ensure our field team has the materials they need so we can continue to be the most trusted partner in the construction industry. As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for reviewing material requests and preparing purchase orders and invoices. You will obtain quotes for miscellaneous purchase orders and provide them to the Project Manager for review. Working closely with suppliers regarding scheduling and following up on deliveries will be a key part of your role. You will also review accounts payable holds and work with the Project Manager to clear them, ensuring adherence to material guidelines to eliminate purchasing risks, including the reconciliation of the CBOM versus miscellaneous purchase orders. In addition, you will identify and escalate frequent miscellaneous purchasing requests to management, maintain and enter purchase requisitions and vendor information into the project planning database, and perform project management support tasks in support of the project management team, such as coordinating material transfers and decommitting material. Keeping all stakeholders updated with timely, accurate communication and compiling required information and records will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Must have a high sense of urgency and the ability to multi-task while meeting strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and an outgoing, friendly personality
  • Extremely detail-oriented and the ability to handle a high-volume workload
