About the position

The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Special Projects Sr. Manager at Sony Pictures Entertainment, specifically within the Technology & Platform division. This role is crucial in participating in, planning, organizing, and coordinating various departmental technology and customer service projects. The primary goal is to ensure that the objectives of these projects are met within the designated time frames and budget constraints. The Project Coordinator will engage in cross-functional collaboration within the technology and platform group, assisting in tracking and organizing projects while helping to set and execute Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). In this position, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for organizing project statuses, scheduling meetings, responding to inquiries from partner and vendor teams, and enforcing best practices and standards. The role requires interfacing with product owners, external vendor groups, the customer service team, and other business units to facilitate the delivery of multiple simultaneous project initiatives. The Project Coordinator will also play a key role in holding team members accountable for their commitments, removing obstacles to their work, and leveraging organizational resources to enhance work capacity. The ideal candidate for this position is expected to be a strong communicator who is outgoing, dynamic, and enthusiastic, with a proven ability to network and build strong relationships across various groups.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and run regular meetings
  • Provide the team with regular reports and updates
  • Assist in managing expectations and relationships across teams
  • Support various business review presentations
  • Ensure technical documentation is created and maintained in accordance with program objectives
  • Enforce standards, practices, processes, and procedures
  • Assist the Customer Service team with project documentation such as meeting minutes, project schedule, and plan
  • Create status updates and presentations/slides for the team
  • Establish and maintain a reliable and timely flow of information and materials to all parties as necessary
  • Assist with special projects (i.e. spreadsheets, presentations, research, etc.)
  • Track, copy, collate, and distribute project-related documentation

Requirements

  • Familiarization with PMO methodologies
  • Experience with both Waterfall and Agile delivery methods
  • Understanding of customer service and tiered support processes
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Highly motivated and professional
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Able to handle multiple projects and effectively prioritize
  • Aptitude to learn new applications for administrative purposes
  • Strong Microsoft Word skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork capabilities
