The Project Coordinator position is a one-year, grant-funded role focused on promoting the Department of Aging Services' NJ Saves Program. This position requires the coordinator to attend various workshops and community events during weekdays, evenings, and weekends, totaling 40 hours per week. The primary responsibility of the Program Coordinator will be to recruit applicants who meet the criteria for the Senior Saves Program and assist them in navigating the online enrollment process. The target demographic includes seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those with limited English proficiency, making bilingual skills particularly valuable. Candidates who are fluent in English/Spanish or English/Asian languages are highly preferred. In addition to recruitment, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling appointments and ensuring that all data related to the program is collected and documented in a timely manner. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to interact effectively with a diverse public. The coordinator will also need to be comfortable with public speaking and engaging with community members from various backgrounds. A flexible schedule is essential, as the role involves working in a dynamic team environment and meeting monthly grant objectives. The position also requires reliable transportation and the physical ability to lift and transport supplies such as a pop-up tent, table, chairs, and promotional materials. Candidates must possess a high school diploma and have experience in community outreach or social services, although the latter is preferred rather than mandatory. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel and Word, is also required. Additionally, all employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities must be vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they have an approved medical or religious exemption.
