The Center for Population Health Data Science (CPHDS) was launched in October 2023 with the mission to modernize critical data systems and enhance the agency's ability to link public health, healthcare, and social services. This initiative aims to make data more accessible, timely, equitable, and usable, ultimately protecting and promoting the health and well-being of New Yorkers. The CPHDS seeks to strengthen data capabilities across the agency by empowering its workforce, enhancing data sharing both within and between agencies, and utilizing modern technology to provide trusted and integrated data insights. A comprehensive and real-time view of city needs is essential for improving public health actions and outcomes, particularly for the most vulnerable populations in New York City. The Bureau of Administration within CPHDS supports various programs and staff by managing purchasing, contracts, grants, personnel services, fiscal management, compliance, administrative data reporting, and office management. The Fiscal Management & Administrative Services Unit is responsible for providing budgetary oversight and administrative support to various bureaus and programs, managing all administrative data for the division. This role involves planning, directing, and controlling financial resources effectively. The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the Administrative Services Manager by managing a portfolio of projects and initiatives within the CPHDS. This position is based at the Health Department's office in Long Island City, NY, and offers the possibility of hybrid work arrangements. The Project Coordinator will be the primary coordinator for various administrative projects aimed at enhancing processes and customer service among division staff. This includes coordinating a web-based service request tracking application for staff to submit requests for goods and services, promoting equitable communication of administrative policies, and participating in the Division Action Team as a liaison for goal setting within CPHDS Administration.
