About the position

The Project Coordinator at Spectra Tech, LLC is responsible for supporting a government project at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This full-time position involves establishing procedures for tracking information, preparing responses to inquiries, coordinating meetings and events, and monitoring technical program progress. The role requires effective communication and organizational skills to manage various administrative tasks and support project completion.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and maintains procedures for tracking necessary information to respond to taskers and information inquiries.
  • Prepares responses to taskers and information inquiries from senior level management.
  • Collects, analyzes, and summarizes relevant technical and programmatic information from various sources in support of ARL's mission.
  • Coordinates and organizes meetings, workshops, tours, or other special events, including setting up displays.
  • Monitors progress of technical programs, including maintaining and modifying program schedules and tracking milestones.
  • Develops and recommends procedures for tracking administrative requirements and improving efficiency.
  • Analyzes technical and non-technical aspects of a business unit and suggests metrics for tracking.
  • Tracks and monitors business unit or program requirements in safety, security, environment, or other areas.
  • Creates, customizes, prepares, and maintains presentations and technical documents using software tools.
  • Supports meetings and special events for the organization, coordinating attendance and amenities.
  • Plans and schedules conferences, tours, working lunches, symposiums, and meetings.
  • Handles conference requirements and special requirements for meetings or projects.
  • Establishes and maintains office databases for scheduling and office information.
  • Operates various office equipment and provides on-the-job training to other contractor personnel.
  • Participates in projects from inception to completion, providing project status updates.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and one (1) year specialized experience; or three (3) years of specialized experience.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Access.
  • Knowledge of proper English grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.
  • Ability to learn Government acronyms and abbreviations.
  • Experience in conducting tours and organizing events.
  • Capable of learning and utilizing current business management tools and databases.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external organizations.
  • Ability to interpret and implement SOPs and IOPs.
  • Ability to provide on-the-job training to other Contractors.
