About the position

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Project Coordinator to assist Project Managers and the Logistics Team in managing complex technical security system projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of our Federal Solutions segment. The Project Coordinator will be based in Alexandria, VA, and may also work in Sterling, VA as needed. The ideal candidate must be a US citizen and possess a minimum of a SECRET level clearance, or have the ability to obtain and maintain such clearance. In this position, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for comprehending project plans and complex construction-related schedules. They will review construction-related bills of materials and perform data entry into the purchase requisition system. Tracking and reporting on the status of material requisitions and shipments will be essential tasks, as well as maintaining and tracking high-value asset inventory. Effective communication and coordination with multiple stakeholders are critical, as is the ability to monitor and report on construction project schedules. The role also requires completing necessary reporting and project documentation, working independently in a fast-paced environment, and operating in a physically demanding warehouse environment. Once trained and licensed, the Project Coordinator will operate a forklift and will be responsible for unloading, inventorying, and staging materials at Department of State posts around the world. The position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent, with relevant experience. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred, along with experience in CMMS, ILMS, logistics, and warehouse operations. The role may involve travel of 0%-25% to high-threat posts as needed. The salary range for this position is between $25.34 and $44.33 per hour, reflecting the level of responsibility and expertise required.
