About the position

Does the idea of working on projects that shape skylines across the nation excite you? If so, Power Design is looking for a kick-ass Project Coordinator to join our growing team! This position works directly with the Project Manager to ensure our field team has the materials they need so we can continue to be the most trusted partner in the construction industry. The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in the success of our projects by managing material requests, preparing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. In this role, you will review material requests and prepare purchase orders and invoices, obtain quotes for miscellaneous purchase orders, and provide them to the Project Manager for review. You will work closely with suppliers regarding scheduling and follow up on deliveries, ensuring that all materials are received on time. Additionally, you will review accounts payable holds and collaborate with the Project Manager to clear them, adhering to material guidelines to eliminate purchasing risks. This includes reconciling the Construction Bill of Materials (CBOM) against miscellaneous purchase orders. You will also be responsible for maintaining and entering purchase requisitions and vendor information into the project planning database, performing project management support tasks, such as coordinating material transfers and decommitting material. Keeping all stakeholders updated with timely, accurate communication and compiling required information and records will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Review material requests and prepare purchase orders and invoices.
  • Obtain quotes for miscellaneous purchase orders and provide to the Project Manager for review.
  • Work with suppliers regarding scheduling and follow up on deliveries.
  • Review accounts payable holds and work with the Project Manager to clear them.
  • Adhere to material guidelines to eliminate purchasing risks, including reconciliation of CBOM vs miscellaneous purchase orders.
  • Identify and escalate frequent miscellaneous purchasing requests to management.
  • Maintain and enter purchase requisitions and vendor information into the project planning database.
  • Perform project management support tasks in support of the project management team, such as coordinating material transfers and decommitting material.
  • Keep all stakeholders updated with timely, accurate communication, and compile required information and records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Must have a high sense of urgency and the ability to multi-task while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and an outgoing, friendly personality.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and the ability to handle a high-volume workload.
