About the position

Kitchen Cabinet Distributors (KCD) is seeking a Large Projects Specialist to serve as the gatekeeper and project manager for all stakeholders involved in the Project/Builder Channel sales process. This role is crucial in assisting the sales field and customers to ensure the overall success of their projects. The Large Projects Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and updating project case files in the Net Suite database, ensuring data integrity and visibility for all stakeholders. This position requires effective communication with both internal and external project stakeholders, making consistent touch points to facilitate project progress and recording all updates accurately. The role involves working cross-functionally with various departments including sales, operations, finance, and procurement to assess the viability of projects before presenting them to the sales team and customers. The Large Projects Specialist will manage phased projects, addressing any necessary changes promptly, and will oversee projects through to completion to guarantee customer satisfaction. Additionally, this position will document the current large projects process and identify opportunities for streamlining overall project management. The Large Projects Specialist will intake requests from the external sales team, providing necessary answers and resources. They will also develop and deploy Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics and support the communication of results across various departments. This role is essential for maintaining the high standards of service that KCD is known for, ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Updating the project case files in Net Suite database in a timely manner ensuring data integrity and stakeholder visibility.
• Entering information (quotes) related to large projects into the database.
• Communicating information clearly and effectively to all project internal and external stakeholders.
• Consistently making touch points with project stakeholders to move projects along and obtaining and recording all project updates.
• Working cross-functionally with sales, operations, finance, and procurement to determine the viability of projects to present to the sales team and customers.
• Managing phased projects, addressing any changes needed in an expedited manner.
• Managing projects through to completion to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
• Documenting current large projects process and identifying areas of opportunity to better streamline overall projects process.
• Intake requests from the external sales team and provide answers and assets as necessary.
• Developing and deploying KPI metrics and providing support in the communication of results to various departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience is highly desirable.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to decipher ambiguous information and define missing information.
• Net Suite knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to make calculated decisions on the fly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills capable of engaging with field sales and customers at all organizational levels.
• Maintains composure and professionalism under pressure and timelines.
• Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively multitask in fast-paced environments.
• Advanced analytical skills required to effectively produce reports related to project schedule and progress, cost tracking, and process management.
• Proven organizational skills demonstrating the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated time management skills with the ability and determination to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Self-starter with the ability to find creative solutions to communicate and pull key project data from customers and stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with project management software other than Net Suite.
• Familiarity with kitchen and bathroom cabinetry products.
