About the position

The Project Coordinator is a vital member of the project team, tasked with delivering projects of various sizes and complexities. This role involves directing, organizing, and controlling project activities under the guidance of a Project Manager and Program Manager, ensuring that all project tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing estimates for analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation efforts.
  • Identify and coordinate the resolution or mitigation of issues and risks, escalating as needed.
  • Ensure the delivery of all tasks identified in the project plan.
  • Capture and report required project metrics.
  • Manage project documentation related to analysis, development, and testing.
  • Track project progress against the project plan.
  • Monitor project milestones and phases to ensure the project stays on schedule.
  • Recommend corrective actions if the project schedule slips.
  • Prepare periodic project status reports for the Project Manager and stakeholders.
  • Manage work efforts across multiple application teams.
  • Monitor the project plan for development efforts.
  • Assist in the final project management evaluation review with stakeholders for approval upon project completion.
  • Arrange and coordinate stakeholder meetings.
  • Notify team leads of project timelines and milestones.
  • Communicate and collaborate with users and clients as necessary.
  • Analyze and compile project metrics related to improvement measures.
  • Ensure adherence to processes and activities.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in project coordination or management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize a variety of tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience working with various IT resources, both locally and remotely.
  • Experience managing meetings with local and remote participants.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude with a collaborative approach to working with various resources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Project and SharePoint).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in an Agile/Iterative environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio.
  • Experience working within a formal project management methodology or PMO.
