About the position

As a Full-time Project Coordinator at Fastenal, you will play a crucial role in the FMI (Fastenal Managed Inventory) Technology department. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate the implementation lifecycle for various industrial vending machines, bin systems, and other FMI technology devices. This position requires you to manage multiple supply chain technology implementation projects, ensuring that all activities are executed efficiently and effectively. You will be involved in information discovery, collecting and reviewing documentation for accuracy, generating product planograms, and coordinating configuration and implementation activities. Communication will be key, as you will liaise with both internal and external team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives while providing world-class service and support to the field and our customers. In this role, you will be expected to maintain accurate records and project tracking, demonstrating a thorough understanding of business offerings, products, processes, and standards. Your ability to communicate effectively with all project stakeholders through various channels, including phone, email, and video communication, will be essential to ensure that deliveries are met in a timely and accurate manner. You will also need to exhibit strong problem-solving skills, decision-making abilities, and the capacity to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The position requires a high level of motivation, self-direction, and a customer service orientation, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills are also necessary to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the project lifecycle of multiple supply chain technology implementation projects
  • Communicating with all project stakeholders via phone, email and video communication
  • Coordinating with project stakeholders to ensure deliveries are met in a timely and accurate manner
  • Reviewing documentation for accuracy and compliance with submittal standards
  • Maintaining accurate records and project tracking
  • Demonstrating knowledge of business offerings, products, processes and standards

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
