About the position

The Marketing Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the National Marketing Department at MSI. This position requires a proactive individual who can work closely with project managers to develop comprehensive action plans that encompass resources, budgets, and timelines for various marketing projects. The coordinator will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, particularly in the areas of display, sampling, and merchandising, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. In this role, the Marketing Project Coordinator will support the Marketing Project Manager by creating, updating, and maintaining information on the internal Merchandising Portal. They will also be tasked with developing, reviewing, and analyzing various reports that are essential for business growth. Collaboration with the Product teams and the National marketing team is vital, as the coordinator will work to identify strategies to enhance sales across different product categories within the Retail business channel. The position involves logistical responsibilities, such as creating and executing shipments of materials for store/branch meetings and trade shows. The coordinator may also need to visit branches and attend off-site meetings to promote sales to the Retailer vendor channel. Participation in project design meetings is expected, where the coordinator will propose improvements and evaluate potential problems, developing solutions as necessary. Additionally, the coordinator will manage project-related paperwork, ensuring that all materials are current and properly filed, and will communicate with clients to define project requirements, scope, and objectives. The Marketing Project Coordinator must adhere to budget constraints by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook, is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Marketing Project Manager.
  • Creates, updates, and maintains information on the internal Merchandising Portal.
  • Develops, reviews, and analyzes various reports that support and help grow the business.
  • Manages multiple projects at once in the areas of display, sampling, and merchandising.
  • Works closely with Product teams and the National marketing team to develop ways to grow sales in various product categories.
  • Creates and executes shipments of materials to store/branch meetings and trade shows.
  • Occasionally visits branches and off-site meetings to support and promote sales to the Retailer vendor channel.
  • Participates in project design meetings and proposes improvements if necessary.
  • Evaluates potential problems and technical hitches and develops solutions.
  • Plans and manages team goals, project schedules, and new information.
  • Supervises current projects and coordinates all team members to keep workflow on track.
  • Manages project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed, and stored.
  • Directs project correspondences by preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, meeting minutes, and emails.
  • Communicates with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
  • Adheres to budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • College Degree in a related field (Business Administration/Marketing/Communication) is preferred.
  • Two (2) plus years of Project Management experience.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with demanding deadlines.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
