About the position

The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of IT Application Delivery programs and projects for a top utility client. This position involves analyzing accounts, preparing variance reports, and creating financial forecasts and budgets. The role requires collaboration with project managers and program managers, emphasizing proactive communication and ownership of assigned projects.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and reconcile accounts to manage the financial health of programs and projects.
  • Prepare and annotate variance reports.
  • Create supporting financial forecasts and budgets based on operating plans.
  • Perform research to understand accounting consequences of alternative approaches.
  • Provide clear and actionable recommendations to management.
  • Document key processes and internal control points for reporting.
  • Validate data with business cases.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Financial Analysis/Management or Project Coordination experience.
  • Advanced to expert level Excel experience, including creating pivot tables and using analytics features.
  • Experience with actuals, accruals, calculating variances, invoice tracking, and expense reporting.
  • Previous experience managing projects with accrual-based accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
