About the position

The Project Coordinator at MYCON General Contractors Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting project managers and ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects. This position involves coordinating activities, resources, and information, acting as a liaison between the project team and clients, and managing various administrative tasks related to project documentation and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with owner contract required exhibits.
  • Coordinate activities, resources, equipment, and information of assigned projects.
  • Act as a liaison between the project team and clients.
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to the client and project team.
  • Prepare on-site facilities and organization for mobilization/demobilization.
  • Assist in scheduling and tracking equipment deliveries with the Project Engineer.
  • Prepare and maintain Project Superintendent deliverables and digital photo documentation.
  • Create, track, submit, distribute, and log contract work orders, purchase orders, and change orders.
  • Prepare and send dunning letters as needed.
  • Follow up communication for subcontractors and owners.
  • Assist Project Manager with monthly job cost reporting and pay applications.
  • Work with Project Engineer to maintain and archive documents pertaining to assigned projects.
  • Prepare and maintain OAC books.
  • Schedule and coordinate key meetings for project turnover and lessons learned.
  • Responsible for proper distribution of Subcontractor Evaluation Forms.
  • Upload pay application documents and prepare quarterly reports.
  • Coordinate the badge system and I-9 processing per job requirements.
  • Act as a back-up receptionist as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting project managers or in a project coordinator position preferred but not required.
  • Ability to manage work and meet deadlines.
  • Spectrum/View Point and Bluebeam knowledge preferred.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with construction methods and processes.
  • Strong customer service skills to build and maintain relationships with owners, subcontractors, and vendors.
