About the position

The Project Coordinator at J.B. Henderson Construction plays a crucial role in the project life cycle, working closely under the mentorship of a Project Manager. This position is responsible for assisting with the coordination of various project activities, which includes managing project documentation and ensuring maintenance through to final invoicing and post-construction activities. The Project Coordinator will be involved in a variety of tasks that require strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as they will be handling multiple projects simultaneously. This role is essential in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. In this full-time, on-site position, the Project Coordinator will work Monday through Friday from 7 am to 4 pm, with the potential for overtime. The role is based in Johnstown, OH, and does not allow for remote work. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coordination of project activities throughout the project life cycle.
  • Manage project documentation and maintenance through to final invoicing and post-construction activities.
  • Support the Project Manager in various tasks related to project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during project execution.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding project status and updates.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year in the construction industry or equivalent education in a related field (college or vocational school courses).
  • Previous submittals experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Ability to read and understand specifications and plans.
  • Thorough knowledge of arithmetic and the decimal system.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and local permit practices.
  • Basic estimating capability for change order generation.
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple projects simultaneously.
