About the position

The Project Coordinator at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank plays a vital role in leading and managing nutrition education initiatives, particularly the Nutrition Pantry Program (NPP). This position is responsible for planning and executing nutrition education events, ensuring compliance with program goals, and building partnerships with community organizations to enhance program reach. The coordinator will also oversee training development and delivery, manage program data, and support the overall mission of the Food Bank to combat hunger in the community.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning and execution of nutrition education events, including classes and cooking demonstrations.
• Oversee the development and delivery of training for Health Educators and pantry staff.
• Organize and manage data for reporting and evaluating program outcomes.
• Develop and manage curricula for diverse audiences, including children and seniors.
• Secure and maintain relationships with agency partners and stakeholders.
• Represent the Food Bank at events to foster new partnerships and raise awareness about programs.
• Assist in expanding best practices for the Nutrition Pantry Program.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nutrition Sciences, Public Health, Public Administration, or a related field, or a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Health Educator or in a related field.
• 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish, written and spoken.
• Strong project management skills, including planning and organizing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google platforms.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere).
• Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva).
• Experience with learning management systems (e.g., TalentLMS).
