About the position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team at L.C. Wright, Inc. in Redstone Arsenal, AL. This position is contingent upon contract award and will provide essential administrative support while assisting with project coordination and management for our Huntsville operations. The Project Coordinator will report directly to the Program Manager and will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of various projects and corporate activities. In this role, the Project Coordinator will act as a liaison between on-site employees and remote team members, facilitating communication and collaboration. The individual will assist in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting for local corporate activities, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget. The Project Coordinator will also track project progress, identify potential issues, and prepare project reports and updates for the Program Manager. Additionally, the Project Coordinator will handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and mail, and will prepare and maintain various documents such as reports, presentations, and meeting minutes. The role will also involve coordinating travel arrangements, maintaining office supplies and equipment, and serving as a point of contact for local employees. The Project Coordinator will address employee questions, concerns, and requests when the immediate supervisor is unavailable and will coordinate on-site corporate activities and logistics, such as meetings, training sessions, and events. Other duties may include providing general administrative support as needed and assisting with special projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between on-site employees and remote team members for the Program Manager
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting local corporate activities
  • Support the Program Manager and coordinate project tasks and deadlines
  • Track project progress and identify potential issues for the program manager
  • Prepare project reports and updates
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and mail
  • Prepare and maintain various documents, such as reports, presentations, and meeting minutes
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and transportation
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment
  • Serve as a point of contact for local employees
  • Address employee questions, concerns, and requests when immediate supervisor is unavailable
  • Coordinate on-site corporate activities and logistics, such as meetings, training sessions, and events
  • Provide general administrative support as needed
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role
  • Secret Clearance to support contract work and access to government facilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to include SharePoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of the Department of Defense or other Federal Agency experience is highly desirable
