About the position

The Project Coordinator at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) plays a vital role in supporting the Center for Building Knowledge's mission. This part-time position is designed for individuals who are passionate about contributing to educational resources and facilitating communication with various stakeholders. The Project Coordinator will assist in the implementation of technology-driven projects, which will require a combination of fieldwork and light physical duties. The role is essential for maintaining the NJ Clean Energy Learning Center, ensuring that its content is relevant, accurate, and informative for users. In addition to updating the learning center, the Project Coordinator will enhance distance learning content, making it more interactive and accessible for remote learners. Organizing stakeholder meetings is another critical responsibility, as it ensures smooth communication and collaboration among all parties involved in the Center's projects. The Project Coordinator will also provide assistance on Matterport projects, which may involve capturing and processing 3D data, creating virtual tours, or managing content on the platform. The position requires the ability to work independently under the guidance of the Principal Investigator while collaborating with a team to achieve project goals. Completion of Revit drawings is a necessary component of this role, along with a solid understanding of building methods, construction systems, and common computer software.

Responsibilities

  • Updating the NJ Clean Energy Learning Center to maintain and improve its content.
  • Enhancing distance learning content to make it more interactive and accessible for remote learners.
  • Organizing and facilitating stakeholder meetings to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
  • Providing assistance on Matterport projects, including capturing and processing 3D data and creating virtual tours.
  • Supporting other projects as needed and working independently under the guidance of the Principal Investigator.
  • Completing Revit drawings as part of the position's responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture or Engineering.
  • Previous research experience is required.
  • Strong programming skills and experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of building methods, construction systems, and assemblies.
