About the position

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Project Coordinator with a strong background in construction, particularly in flooring. This role is essential for overseeing various construction projects, ensuring that all aspects are managed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have considerable experience in the construction industry, with a specific focus on flooring installations. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for walking job sites, taking photographs, and preparing detailed estimates based on the requirements of each project. Strong computer skills are necessary for performing take-offs and creating accurate estimates, as well as for managing project documentation and communication with stakeholders. In this position, the Project Coordinator will be expected to walk job sites and create scale drawings to determine the square footage requirements for products to be installed. A thorough understanding of the labor and materials needed for each type of installation is crucial. The role also involves preparing and estimating budget costs for construction projects by studying plans and specifications. The Project Coordinator will write and present budgets, reports, and project plans to clients and other professionals involved in the project. Additionally, the Project Coordinator will develop bids for construction projects and meet with clients, site managers, architects, and other professionals to ensure that all project requirements are met. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about construction projects and possesses the necessary skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School diploma or certification in a skilled trade
  • 10+ years' construction experience (must include flooring)
  • Good background check to get on military bases
  • Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints
  • Ability to do take-offs and prepare estimates
  • Strong computer skills
  • Good physical condition and stamina
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
