About the position

The Project Coordinator at BGIS is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, and communication with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. This role involves coordinating with project managers and superintendents, preparing necessary documentation, and resolving any issues related to project execution. The position emphasizes the importance of organization, communication, and proactive problem-solving in a construction environment.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with Project Managers and Superintendents to resolve issues with paperwork, invoices, receipts, etc.
  • Prepares daily paperwork for Project Manager's approval, scans, attaches, files, and forwards to the processing department.
  • Performs clerical tasks associated with projects as directed by the Projects Manager and Director.
  • Manages and assists with project planning and schedules.
  • Documents and resolves subcontractor and vendor billing issues.
  • Takes responsibility for the development and implementation of a comprehensive construction plan.
  • Monitors progress towards goals to anticipate potential problems.
  • Delivers accurate and timely data to support project forecasts.
  • Organizes, plans, and provides meeting invitations, action items, and minutes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency for all the responsibilities of a Construction Project Coordinator.
  • Proficient or knowledgeable with scheduling software: Smartsheets required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
