About the position

The Project Coordinator position is a vital role within our construction project team, requiring a highly motivated and energetic individual who is disciplined and a self-starter. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to learn quickly and adapt to the fast-paced environment of construction management. This role is particularly suited for someone with 1-3 years of experience in a construction project team, with a preference for candidates who have utility experience, specifically in water and wastewater projects. However, we are open to considering candidates with similar relevant experience who can demonstrate their capability to thrive in this role. As a Project Coordinator, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are crucial to the successful execution of our projects. You will be responsible for coordinating meetings, attending pre-construction meetings, and scheduling and monitoring project timelines. Additionally, you will maintain our project management software, Procore, ensuring that all project documentation is up to date and accessible. Your role will also involve backing up the Director of Project Management as needed, which may include assisting with paperwork and tracking project financial performance. This position is essential for ensuring that our projects run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our construction initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project meetings and ensure all necessary participants are informed and prepared.
  • Attend pre-construction meetings to represent the project team and gather essential information.
  • Schedule and monitor project timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Maintain Procore, our project management software, ensuring all documentation is current and accurate.
  • Provide backup support to the Director of Project Management as needed, including administrative tasks.
  • Assist in tracking project financial performance and reporting on budget status.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a construction project team.
  • Experience in utility projects, specifically water and wastewater, is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new software and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Procore or similar project management software.
  • Knowledge of construction project financial management.
