About the position

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Project Coordinator responsible for supporting our fire and electrical project businesses. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The Project Coordinator will work closely with project managers, field technicians, and other team members to track and document various elements of our projects while focusing on achieving a high level of customer satisfaction. The position requires a proactive approach to coordinating daily schedule changes to address both customer and company needs, ensuring that all aspects of the project are managed effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for tracking and reporting on change orders and project closeouts, assisting with project billing and status reviews, and helping project managers with material requisition, tracking, and delivery. You will also coordinate and maintain the project material delivery schedule, maintain a log of back-ordered materials with expected delivery dates, and facilitate communication between solutions and service departments to ensure a smooth handover of projects. Additionally, you will maintain a master list of company-supplied tools for each solutions technician and coordinate with purchasing for any replacement or additional tools required. The Project Coordinator will assist the operations manager with accounts receivable issues and will be tasked with tracking and submitting for project permits. Participation in monthly Work In Progress (WIP) meetings is also expected, where you will take notes and distribute action items to ensure that all team members are aligned and informed about project statuses and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in customer service.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Possess sound decision-making skills.
  • Ability to encourage and motivate people with a positive attitude.
  • Interest in helping and working with customers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities.
