About the position

The Project Coordinator at the UCLA Bixby Center to Advance Sexual and Reproductive Health Equity plays a crucial role in supporting various projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing sexual and reproductive health equity. This hybrid position allows for remote work up to two days a week and involves coordinating multiple projects, managing logistics, and ensuring effective communication among stakeholders. The coordinator will also contribute to marketing efforts and assist in program evaluation and research activities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage multiple projects and events simultaneously, ensuring smooth execution of all aspects.
  • Organize logistics and coordinate with multiple stakeholders for project activities.
  • Create visually appealing marketing materials, newsletters, and promotional content using design tools and software.
  • Conduct literature reviews, analyze data, and design evaluation tools to support program monitoring and evaluation.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, digesting large amounts of information to create appropriate paths forward.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports, both formal and informal, related to project activities.
  • Identify programmatic needs and potential solutions, implementing them effectively.

Requirements

  • Two years of related project coordination work experience.
  • Experience in creating marketing materials and promotional content using design tools like Canva, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Highly effective oral and written communication skills, able to engage with diverse audiences.
  • Self-starter with problem-solving abilities, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow to meet deadlines under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fluency in Institutional Review Board processes and understanding of compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Experience with marketing and communication efforts across multiple channels.
  • Knowledge of UCLA and departmental policies regarding purchasing, reimbursement, and research guidelines.
  • Familiarity with data management or analytical software such as Qualtrics, Excel, and/or Stata.
