About the position

The Project Coordinator will provide analytical support for an electric utility client, focusing on reviewing and processing work order packages, securing materials, and ensuring that construction work is authorized to proceed. This role involves maintaining project tracking databases, supporting project managers, and ensuring a safety-conscious work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support to review and process work order packages, secure material, and ensure the work is authorized to proceed for construction.
  • Research, analyze, interpret sophisticated data, and problem solve.
  • Obtain project status, update and maintain the project tracking database, and work with the appropriate project team member to help remove obstacles throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Support project managers in tracking and reviewing in-flight projects by participating in job walks and monthly tactical meetings and ad-hoc project status meetings.
  • Provide data on the status of projects and their requirements, clarify issues, and ensure that Region personnel receive the appropriate support for the successful completion of projects.
  • Verify, analyze, and update information in Primavera 6 (P6), SAP, Design Manager (DM) systems, and Excel.
  • Complete monthly reporting activities and support ad-hoc data requests.
  • Maintain a safety-conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Two years of experience tracking and reporting project progress and timelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience using P6 to track project progress.
  • Electric distribution experience.
  • Experience in project management theories and practices using the IPSEC model.
  • Experience crafting and maintaining records, logs, documents, files, or databases for monitoring, tracking, and trending program/project costs, budget and production variance, resources, schedules, and status for management with attention to detail.
  • Experience reviewing, updating, and preparing reports, documents, or correspondence for internal and external customers to provide project updates and status with attention to detail.
  • Experience performing risk analysis, capturing documents, and researching data on assigned topics, using databases, files, spreadsheets, or other sources.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects/assignments concurrently with minimal oversight under tight timelines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and SAP.
  • Ability to integrate work across relevant areas, manage information, and provide outstanding service to internal and external customers.
