About the position

The Project Coordinator at Axle will play a crucial role in supporting the development of data-driven insights to advance research and clinical practices. This position involves coordinating project tasks in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring timely completion of project deliverables. The coordinator will manage meetings, track project statuses, and assist in documentation and communication efforts, contributing to the overall success of projects at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate tasks for a geographically distributed and interdisciplinary project.
  • Schedule and manage all relevant meetings, including generating agendas, facilitating discussions, and recording action items.
  • Track and manage status deliverables, including timelines and tasks using project management software.
  • Work closely with project teams and project managers to complete administrative tasks.
  • Assist with drafting, distributing, and maintaining project documentation.
  • Attend specified meetings and raise potential issues to appropriate individuals.
  • Develop and contribute to a tracking system for project discussions and decisions.
  • Develop and give presentations and provide high-level updates to leadership.
  • Coordinate project onboarding and offboarding tasks for team members.
  • Effectively communicate project status to internal and external teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience interfacing with virtual teams.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Strong organizational skills, particularly in document and information management.
  • Ability to work self-directed in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to remain calm under deadline pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Google Suite is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in biomedical informatics or translational research.
  • Familiarity with project management software.
