About the position

ACS Professional Staffing is seeking a Project Coordinator to work on-site with our client in Richland, Washington. This full-time position is crucial for managing and coordinating projects from initiation to completion. The Project Coordinator will collaborate closely with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the satisfaction of all parties involved. The role requires a proactive approach to project management, emphasizing effective communication and organizational skills. In this position, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for creating and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and other essential project documentation. They will track project progress and report on the status to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle. Identifying and mitigating project risks and issues will be a key responsibility, as will facilitating project meetings and communicating updates to all relevant parties. The Project Coordinator will also manage project change requests, ensuring that all changes are properly documented and approved. This role is integral to ensuring that project deliverables are completed on time and within budget, requiring strong collaboration with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to drive project success.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project activities, resources, and information
  • Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, and other project documentation
  • Track project progress and report on project status to stakeholders
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues
  • Facilitate project meetings and communicate project updates to stakeholders
  • Manage project change requests and ensure changes are properly documented and approved
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project success

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from accredited college or university and 1 year of experience in a technical field
  • OR associate degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related technical curriculum from an accredited college or university and 3 years' experience in a technical field
  • OR High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a technical field
  • Basic project management techniques
  • Basic core values as related to human performance, cost-effective work execution
  • Basic use of computer software tools
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, weighing alternative courses of action and making decisions based on factual information and rational assumptions
  • Demonstrated ability in planning and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish goals, set priorities, and maintain awareness of interrelationships among activities
  • Possess strong project management skills and abilities, including leading projects and initiatives
  • Ability to develop cost to benefit analysis in support of project options
  • Ability to apply applicable technical specifications, code requirements, and standards
